It also draws on the extensive personnel and equipment resources of the Australian Museum, which is the leading institution of its kind in the Australasian region. AMBS Consulting also has close links with other key institutions such as universities, other government research agencies and departments and Aboriginal Land Councils. The collaboration of Museum staff, combined with AMBS’ project management capability and an extensive network of specialist sub-consultants, means that our work is of the highest quality and accuracy.

As the Australian Museum’s commercial project management group, AMBS Consulting draws on over 150 years of research experience in natural science and anthropology to assist you with environmental impact assessment and surveys, monitoring and management, and archaeological and Aboriginal site assessment. AMBS employs a dedicated team with a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure that your project is expertly managed from its inception to the delivery of the final report.

AMBS Consulting offers a range of cultural management services from audience evaluation and exhibition project management to diorama construction and collection conservation. AMBS draws on extensive experience in collection management, interpretation and display methods. We are committed to promoting awareness of cultural and natural diversity and life-long learning through our services. Experienced staff can help convey your message or maintain your collection using integrated and creative ideas and the most up-to-date information and technology.

AMBS has capability in all aspects of exhibition production, including concept development, research, education input, design, multimedia development, production and installation. We specialise in planning and design, project management, graphic design and picture research, construction and installation, curatorial and editorial services, multi-media and audio visual services and touring management. We are also able to tour exhibitions internationally and provide all technical and interpretive staff requirements.
