Bassett Applied Research (BAR)
Overview
Bassett Applied Research (BAR) is the specialist research and development
company of Bassett Consulting Engineers. It is a wholly owned division
of Bassett Consulting Engineers providing the international AECOM Group
with a separately funded research and development division capable of
operating independently from the company's main project work.

Advantages
BAR has developed a Centre of Excellence in building energy and environmental
design and modelling using integrated thermal and daylighting simulation
software and computational fluid dynamics. It is funded through direct
client commissions, government agency grants, patent royalties, Bassett
project work and internal funding. This mix of revenue allows BAR to explore
innovative solutions outside regular project work without the pressures
of program deadlines. We have accredited Australian Building Greenhouse
Rating (ABGR) and Greenstar assessors and professionals on staff.
