Biolytix
Overview
The International Award-Winning Biolytix™ Waste Treatment System
is globally significant technology. It uses a diverse ecosystem of worms
and other soil organisms to convert sewage, wastewater, sanitary items
and food waste into clean irrigation water onsite.
Competitive
Advantages
Biolytix™ recently won a Global Environmental Technology Award
at the World Expo in Japan. The Expo showcases technologies that have
the most chance of solving world environmental problems. It was the only
sewage and wastewater treatment system to win world-wide.
Biolytix was nominated by the Australian Government as one of the top
six environmental technologies in Australia. It was also a Double Winner
on ABC TV “The New Inventors”. On the night it won the “Judge’s
Award” and “The People’s Choice”.
Biolytix™ Filtration will change the way wastewater is treated globally
and save millions of tonnes of Greenhouse gases:
- It is the most compact biological waste treatment system in the world
– a septic/sandfilter combination would need to be 20 times as
big to get the same results;
- It is the most Energy Efficient waste treatment system in the world
– it uses 1/10th the energy of conventional systems (according
to The Courier Mail, 5% of Australia’s power is used
to treat sewage);
- Biolytix™ is the only system that can efficiently retrofit failing
septic systems to produce an irrigation resource (according to Reports
70% of septics in Australia fail after 5 years); and
- The powerful Biolytix™ systems can also be networked together,
called Biowater™, and replace centralised sewerage for half the
price. Biowater™ has the added benefit of irrigating either on-site
or sending excess irrigation off-site via small and economical plastic
pipes. It can also recycle food scraps and sanitary items.
“Just as powerful PCs made the mainframe computer redundant,
Biowater™ will make centralized sewerage a museum piece.”
Biolytix™ Inventor - Dean Cameron Technology:
Technology & Services
Biolytix™ has the patent to use the structured waste and resultant
humus as the filter to cleanse wastewater. This cleverly turns the problem
(the waste) into the solution (the humus to filter and clean the wastewater).
The Biolytix™ technology can be used in a number of applications:
- As an on-site waste treatment system for 2,200L/day (a household)
to more than 200 kL/day (commercial application);
- To retrofit existing septic tanks;
- To treat and recycle grey water only (including from the kitchen);
- The powerful Biolytix™ systems can also be networked together,
(Biowater™) for small projects or for towns on the sewerage backlog
program
- Sewer mining and reuse in towns/cities.
Markets,
Brands and Alliances
Many organisations have supported the development of the Biolytix technology,
including GHD Engineers, Queensland University, Murdoch University, Spier
Holdings and the Cooperative Research Centre. A range of partnering opportunities
are available. Please contact the Biolytix CEO.
