ecoDesign ecoPrint From its inception in 1992, ecoDesign ecoPrint's core focus has been
on providing design and print solutions that minimise the impact on the
environment. With a passion for detail and a commitment to exceeding customer
expectations, we have built a reputation as a reliable, ethical and quality-driven
company. Our environmental management system is certified to ISO14001
standards and we also have ISO9001 certification. In 2007 we also achieved
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Certification (COC),
giving our customers the opportunity to support the growth of responsible
forest management worldwide by buying print with the FSC label. As our name suggests, ecoDesign ecoPrint emphasises solutions that take
into account our customers’ environmental objectives as well as
their marketing and budget objectives. We are finding more and more organisations
are recognising the importance of a triple bottom line approach to doing
business but are often unsure how to go about it. ecoDesign ecoPrint uses recycled papers that are high in post-consumer
waste content and either totally chlorine free (TCF) or elemental chlorine
free (ECF). We also plan our jobs carefully at the design stage to avoid
wasting paper. We use 100% vegetable-oil-based inks made from soya beans
instead of the traditional printing inks made from petroleum oil with
a high volatile organic compound (VOC) content. We also minimise the use
of solvents and only use the most environmentally safe cleaning solutions,
including Envirosolve Roller and Blanket Wash, BIO Plate, Bio Rubber Roller
Rejuvenator, Bio Deglaze Liquid Roller & Blanket Deglazer and Citrapro
Handcleaner. The Press Control Fountain Solution used by ecoDesign ecoPrint
allows us to run our printing presses completely alcohol-free, whereas
most printers use 8-12%. ecoDesign ecoPrint services the Australian government, corporate and
private sectors.
