Watergates sp is an Australian owned company specialising in fabricated penstocks and stopgates both in marine grade aluminium and stainless steel. It is a division of Ludowici Australia Pty Ltd. The products Watergates supplies are all manufactured in Australia and are used in water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, sewage pump stations and reticulation, dams and weirs, fishways, irrigation, mining, pollution containment and rivers.

Watergates provides:

• stainless steel penstocks in wall-mounted, embedded, rising stem, non-rising stem, downward opening, open top, on or off seating configurations. Difficult applications with high heads are a specialty
• aluminium penstocks that enable low-cost, quick fabrication, supplied in the same configurations as the stainless steel penstocks
• aluminium flap gates of any type requiring engineering input, including special appllications such as partial tide inflow and controlled discharge
• bellmouths of any size and any travel, with mating flanges bolted to the pipe flange with a standard gasket
• canal gates in smaller sizes up to 600 mm for quick, cost-effective solutions
• groundwater relief valves designed to pop up at 200 mm pressure and manufactured from uPVC and bronze with a neoprene seal
• mud valves, rising or non-rising, made of coated cast iron with bronze seals
• aluminium stopgates and stoplogs with specially extruded grade 6061T6 frames and UHMW polyethylene side seals for low friction.
