selection of materials and production technologies. Recopol™ mouldings
are lightweight and durable, ideal for framing upholstered furniture.
These mouldings are unaffected by moisture, moulds or insects, have excellent
stapleholding capacity and an indefinite life span. The shells can be
re-upholstered endless times and re-shaped to meet changing tastes in
interior design. The company is a specialist fabricator of the sustainable
alloy, stainless steel, and incorporates this material into its furniture,
which is designed for disassembly, refurbishment and recyclability. As
part of Wharington’s product stewardship, the company has an environmental
pledge to take back its furniture at end of life.
Furniture and garden products manufactured with Recopol™ generate
minimal waste, reduce greenhouse emissions, conserve a valuable resource
and reduce the demand for timber. At end of life Recopol™ is fully
recyclable.
Technology & Services
Wharington furniture and garden products incorporate Recopol™ recycled
resin moulded internal framing, which is made from post-consumer and post-industrial
engineering grade resins redeemed from industrial waste streams that would
otherwise go to landfill.
